    The Tufts University volleyball team finished the 2009 season as the #19 ranked team in the American Volleyball Coaches Association national poll. Tufts made its first-ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals.
  • JUMBOS PLAY HOPE COLLEGE IN FIRST-EVER NCAA "ELITE EIGHT" APPEARANCE

    The Tufts University volleyball team is in University Heights, Ohio, approximately 30 minutes outside of Cleveland, at John Carroll University to make its first-ever appearance at the NCAA Division III Championships to be played Thursday through Saturday (Nov. 19-21). Coach Cora Thompson's Jumbos will face Hope College from Holland, Michigan in the national quarterfinals on Thursday at 3:00 pm.
  • SETTER DENA FEIGER ANNOUNCED AS AVCA SECOND TEAM ALL-AMERICAN

    The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced its 29th annual All-America teams for NCAA Division III on Wednesday and Tufts University senior setter Dena Feiger (Long Grove, IL) is on the Second Team. She is the first Tufts volleyball player to earn an All-American honor above honorable mention in the program's history.

    Tufts University senior setter Dena Feiger (Long Grove, IL) won her second Player of the Year honor of the 2009 season when the New England Women's Volleyball Association (NEWVA) announced its All-New England teams on Saturday. She was also one of seven players named to the organization's First Team.

    With four players on the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) New England Region Teams that were announced on Thursday, the 2009 Tufts University Jumbos had the most recipients in the history of the program.

    Senior setter Dena Feiger (Long Grove, IL) is the first Tufts University volleyball player to be named as the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Player of the Year after the league office announced the 2009 All-Conference Teams today. Tufts coach Cora Thompson and junior Caitlin Updike (Manhattan Beach, CA), junior Dawson Joyce-Mendive (Minden, NV) and senior co-captain Brogie Helgeson (Santa Cruz, CA) were also honored.

    The Tufts University volleyball team will host Maine Maritime Academy on Thursday (Nov. 12) at 8:00 pm in the first round of the 2009 NCAA Division III Championship at Cousens Gymnasium.

    On Wednesday, the NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Committee announced the selection of six sites for the regional round of the 2009 Division III Women's Volleyball Championship. For the second straight year, Tufts University was chosen as the New England Regional host. The Jumbos will host the event in the newly refurbished Cousens Gymnasium Thursday through Saturday, November 12-14.

She shares this week's honor with Ruby Hernandez from Wesleyan.
