Kimura Claims Two First Place Finishes as Women's Swimming and Diving Competes Against Boston College

Doolan totaled three first or second place finishes on the night.

MEDFORD, Mass. – The Tufts University women's swimming and diving team competed in a dual-meet against Boston College on Tuesday night.

Both teams fought hard, but the Eagles came out on top, 263-111. Out of the 20 events in the meet, the Jumbos came in either first or second in nine of them.

Anna Kimura led the way with two first place finishes. The first in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:08.35, nine points) and the next in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:26.00, nine points) finishing a full four seconds ahead of second place.

Colleen Doolan finished with one first place and two second place finishes. The first place came in the 200-yard butterfly (2:09.41, nine points), while the second places came in the 100-yard freestyle (54.99, four points), and the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:42.70, four points) along with Tara Zhou, Brooke Bernstein, and Jess Lee.

Katherine Brown got the other first place finish by a Jumbo, with a time of 32.05 and nine points in the 50-yard breaststroke.

Abby Claus had two second place finishes, one in the 200-yard freestyle (1:59.99, four points) and the other in the 200-yard IM (2:15.03, four points). Sasha Fong came in second in the 50-yard butterfly (26.77, four points).

Tufts will compete next on Saturday against Wheaton College.
