The victory coupled with an Amherst loss clinched the regular-season title and the #1 seed in the tournament for the Jumbos.

The game was played in front of a large Homecoming crowd in support of the Jumbos.

    It's safe to say that Tufts first-year forward Maeve Stewart (Palo Alto, CA) of the Jumbo women's soccer team enjoyed a collegiate debut on Saturday that few have matched. She scored all three goals as Tufts posted a 3-0 victory over 11th ranked Middlebury College in a conference match at Kraft Field. The performance earned Stewart a share of the 2010 season's first New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Player of the Week honor.
