Women's Lacrosse Gets Road Win Over Endicott, 17-7

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Tufts University women's lacrosse team defeated Endicott, 17-7, Thursday evening in Beverly.

Dattolo had a career-high three goals and four points in the contest.

The Jumbos (6-1) scored five goals before the Gulls (6-3) were able to find the back of the net with just over ten minutes remaining in the half. Tufts would increase its lead to 10-3 by halftime. 

Tufts continued to pressure offensively but Endicott would not go down without a fight, scoring four goals throughout the second half. Ultimately, the Jumbos were able to secure the 17-7 victory. 

Annie Sullivan, Dakota Adamec, and Maria Dattolo each scored three goals. Caroline Nowak, Maddie Norman, Catherine Lawliss, Cecily Freliech, Kirsten Grazewski, Johanna O'Neil, and Emily Games all notched one goal. Lawliss also recorded two assists, while Grazewski, Norman, Adamec, and Dottolo each had one. Adamec also led the team with seven draw controls.

For Endicott, Jennifer Lacroix and Lawlor led the team with two goals each. Also scoring for the Gulls were Erin McCarthy, Jackie Healy, and Alex Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald, Healy, Megan Jarvis, and Meghan Dutchyshyn all earned assists throughout the night. 

Audrey Evers earned the win in net with two saves and improved to 6-1 on the season. Kelly Melin saw 16 minutes of action at the end of the contest and recorded one save. Hedy Veith, Margaret Chase, and Norman each had a team-high two caused turnovers. 

Alexandra Rose got the start in net and made 19 saves to shift to 0-1 on the season.

The Jumbos held a 44-16 shot advantage and went 18-for-19 on clear attempts.

Endicott will travel to Roger Williams on Wednesday, April 4 for a 4 p.m. contest. Tufts travels to Connecticut College at 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 31.
