BRANDFORD, Conn. – Freshman Bryan Trammell of the Tufts co-ed sailing team placed 13th at the 2019 New England Intercollegiate Sailing Association Championships this weekend at Yale.
In 14 races, Trammell accumulated finishes totaling to 177. He was nine behind 12th-place Parker Colantuono from Rhode Island (168). Trammell had a best performance of fifth place in the ninth race of the weekend.
Richie Gordon, a Coast Guard sophomore, won the New England Single-handed title with a 46 score. He edged teammate and classmate Gage Schoenherr, who scored 48. A total of 21 sailors were competing at the event.
Sailors were competing for a spot in the Intercollegiate Sailing Association national championship November 9-10 in Santa Barbara, California.
