Men's Cross Country Competes at the Paul Short Run on Saturday

BETHLEHEM, Pa.- The Jumbo men's cross country team placed 40th at the Paul Short Run at Lehigh on Saturday in the in the gold men's 8k event which featured teams teams from Divisions I, II, and III.

Brian Reaney recorded a Jumbo best time of 26:15

The Jumbos finished with a score of 1040 and a total time of 2:12:28. Utah State finished first having scored 77 points and recorded a total time of 2:03:50.

Senior Brian Reaney placed as the Jumbos' top finisher taking 187th recording a time of 26:15. Fellow senior Dylan Jones placed 189th overall with a time of 26:16. Jones has placed in the top two for Tufts in all three races on the season.

Other Jumbos that placed in the top seven in the Paul Short Run on Saturday and finished in the top 250 included seniors Hiroto Watanabe finishing 218th (26:35), Colin Raposo 221st (26:39), Rory Buckman 225th (26:43) and Andrew Doherty Munro 243rd (26:56), along with sophomore Peter Horvath 230th (26:47).

Senior Tom Doyle and freshmen Neerav Gade and Philip Hempstead also participated for the Jumbos.

Tufts men's cross country will return to action on Saturday at the All-New England Championships at Franklin Park.
