    The 2016 spring sports teams at Tufts University placed 140 athletes on the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) All-Academic Teams released today. That's more than any of the other 10 schools in the conference.

    Championship season began last weekend and will continue this weekend for even more Jumbo teams. The men’s lacrosse team will host the NESCAC Semi-finals and Finals this Saturday and Sunday at Bello Field. Softball hits the road for the NESCAC Tournament at Williams Friday through Sunday. Men’s and women’s tennis will head to Bates Friday through Sunday for NESCAC Tournament action.
  • Men's Tennis Upsets No. 4 Bowdoin at Home in Regular Season Finale

    The No. 13 Tufts men’s tennis team finished their regular season schedule on a high note, upsetting No. 4 Bowdoin on their home courts on Sunday afternoon. The Jumbos got a huge match-clinching come from behind win at No. 2 singles from sophomore Rohan Gupte to earn the 5-4 win over the Polar Bears.
  • Unranked MIT Upends #13 Men's Tennis 5-4 in Cambridge

    In its final match of the regular season, the MIT men’s tennis team defeated nationally-ranked No. 13 Tufts University, 5-4, on Friday afternoon. With the win, the Engineers improved to 13-4 while the Jumbos moved to 12-6 on the year.

    Its hard to believe but spring championship season is upon us! Men’s and women’s lacrosse both round out their regular season schedules on Wednesday before beginning NESCAC Tournament play on Saturday. Men’s and women’s track will head to Amherst on Saturday looking to come back to Medford with a NESCAC Championship.
  • Ali's 2nd Singles Win Lifts Men's Tennis at Bates, 5-4

    The #13 nationally ranked Tufts men's tennis team came back from a 4-3 deficit to win the final two singles matches and defeat the #24 Bates College men's tennis team 5-4 on Friday at the Wallach Tennis Center.

    Temperatures are starting to warm up and so are many Jumbo spring teams. Men’s and women’s lacrosse both have home contests this week. Baseball will host Colby for a three-game series this weekend. Softball will be home midweek before heading to Bates this weekend. Men’s and women’s track and field will be home for the Tufts Sunshine Classic this Saturday.

    After splitting their two encounters last season, Tufts taking the regular-season dual before Williams earned revenge in the NESCAC quarterfinals, the Ephs won Sunday's 2016 regular-season men's tennis match over the Jumbos with a solid 7-2 performance at the Torrence M. Hunt ’44 Tournament Courts.

    Senior tri-captain Nick Cary dueled with Brandeis’ Danny Lubarsky in the fifth singles position, but Cary was able to win in three sets helping the No. 17 Tufts men’s tennis team pick up a 5-4 win over the No. 32 Judges at the Voute Tennis Courts on Wednesday afternoon.

    Medford has seen some rain and some cold weather, but that won’t slow down our spring teams! Men’s lacrosse, who has spent a great deal of time on the road this year, will return home for two games this week. Women’s lacrosse hits the road on Saturday for a duel with Amherst. Both baseball and softball have NESCAC weekend stints with Trinity on the docket.

    The No. 17 Tufts men’s tennis team split their squad on Thursday afternoon, taking on both Connecticut College and Coast Guard. The Jumbos picked up two wins, winning both matches by an identical 8-1 score.

    The biggest event for Tufts Athletics this week was on Monday night when women’s basketball took on Thomas More for the national championship. The Jumbos fell to the Saints 63-51 but had one of the most successful seasons in program history, making it to the title game for the first time. With the big Monday night over, Jumbo nation can focus on a busy week for spring sports teams.
  • Men's Tennis Earns 1st Win Over Amherst Since 2004, 7-2

    Earning one of the program's biggest victories in years, the Tufts men's tennis team won 7-2 at Amherst College today in a NESCAC match. It's Tufts' first victory over Amherst since the 2003-04 season.

    While the rest of the university was on spring break, our Jumbo teams were very busy last week playing full spring break schedules! This week has a ton of home openers on the schedule as softball opens at home on Wednesday, women’s tennis hosts Babson on Thursday, men’s and women’s track and field host the Snowflake Classic this Saturday and the men’s and women’s crew teams both have home races this Saturday on the Malden.

    The Tufts men's tennis team improved to 4-0 on its spring trip with a 6-3 victory over Stevens on Tuesday. The Jumbos entered the spring as the #22 team in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association national poll and the Ducks are #25.

    In a match between schools with two of the most unique nicknames in all of college sports, the Jumbos of Tufts defeated the Banana Slugs of UC Santa Cruz in men's tennis action Sunday night, 8-1.

    After losing two out of three in doubles, the Tufts men's tennis swept all six singles matches to earn a 7-2 victory over Vassar on Saturday morning at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.
