SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – In their last contest before NESCAC Tournament play the No. 24 Tufts men's squash team picked up an 8-1 win over No. 27 Hobart on Saturday afternoon. The Jumbos collected six of their eight wins in three games.

The win moves the Jumbos to 4-8 overall this year. Hobart is now 4-9 after the setback.
Freshman Konrad Ladow won the first game in the second position in extra points, 14-12. He fell in the second game to Quinn Udy, but came back to win the third and fourth games, 11-7 and 11-8 to collect a win for the Jumbos. In the third position rookie Marco Rodriguez took on Michael Mullholland. Rodriguez won the first game, 11-6, and then Mulholland took the second game by an identical score. Rodriguez won the next two games, 11-2 and 11-4, to pick up another win for the Jumbos.
In the fourth position senior Alan Litman faced off with Quran Davis and won, 11-7, 11-2, 11-3. Freshman Will Dewire collected a three-game win over Cameron Temoyan in the fifth spot, 11-7, 11-4, 11-1. Classmate Dillon O'Shea needed just three games to win over Eric Molina in the sixth position, 11-3, 11-, 11-7. Junior Connor Wind allowed Josh Pugliese to score just four points across three games in his win in the seventh position. Senior co-captain Brett Raskopf collected an 11-1, 11-3, 11-7 win over Cristian Escalona in the eighth position. The last Jumbo win came from senior Aidan Porges in the ninth position, as he won in three games over Henry Amory, 11-6, 11-7, 11-0.
Junior Raghav Kumar took on Mohamed Abdelhafez in the first position. Kumar fell in three games, but two of those went to extra points, 11-8, 12-10, 12-10.
The Jumbos are back in action this weekend when they head to Middlebury for the NESCAC Tournament. They open tournament play on Friday. Hobart plays again on Saturday when they face off with University of Rochester at 12 pm.
