Porges Falls on Opening Day of College Squash Association Individual Championships

STAMFORD, Conn. - Tufts men's squash rookie Aidan Porges took on Kah Wah Cheong in the College Squash Association's Individual Championships on Friday afternoon.  Porges fell to Cheong in three games, but will now play in a consolation bracket.

Cheong is a member of the Yale squash team and plays in the fourth position for the Bulldogs.  Yale won the CSA's Team Nationals in February.  He is the 17th ranked player in the country. 

Porges fell on Saturday in three games, 11-1, 11-7, 11-2 in the A bracket of the Molloy Division. Porges will take on Derek Hsue on Saturday at 9 am in consolation play.   Hsue lost in five games 9-11, 11-5, 9-11, 11-7, 11-4, in the opening round of play on Friday.  Hsue is a member of the University of Pennsylvania men's squash team and is the 49th ranked player in the country. Porges drew the 80th ranking when the most recent rankings were announced.
