  • Academic All-NESCAC Selections for 2013-14 Winter Sports Include 108 Jumbo Student-Athletes

    A total of 108 winter sport athletes at Tufts were awarded Academic All-New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) honors on Thursday. Recipients have achieved at least sophomore academic standing with a grade point average of 3.35 or better and are letter-winners on their teams. The 108 recipients are third-most in the conference for the 2013-14 season.

    Sophomore Aditya Advani of the men’s squash team finished play in the College Squash Association’s Individual Championships on Saturday at the University of Pennsylvania. Advani lost his consolation match against Matthew Mackin of Trinity and was eliminated from the bracket.

    Tufts sophomore Aditya Advani (New Dehli, India) competed in the opening rounds of the College Squash Association’s Individual Championships on Friday. Advani won his opening match in the Molloy Division before dropping the second and moving into the second round of the consolation bracket.
  • Advani of Men's Squash Earns Second Consecutive All-NESCAC Second Team Honor

    Tufts men’s squash sophomore Aditya Advani (New Dehli, India) has been named to the All- NESCAC Second team. Advani, who racked up a 16-7 record this season, is a second team selection for the second year in a row and is the lone Jumbo selected to the first or second team.
  • Men's Squash Closes Out Season With Win Over Denison in CSA Team Championships

    For the second time this season the Tufts men’s squash team defeated Denison, 6-3, this time to claim third place in the E division of the College Squash Associations’ Team Championships on Sunday at MIT. The third place finish concluded the Jumbos season.
  • Loss to Northeastern in Semifinals of CSA Team Championships for Men's Squash

    The Tufts men’s squash team received wins in the first through fourth positions, but it wasn’t enough as the Jumbos were edged by Northeastern, 5-4, in the semifinals of the E division at the College Squash Associations’ Team Championships at Northeastern University Saturday afternoon.
  • Men's Squash Tops Boston University in Opening Round of CSA Team Championships

    The Tufts men’s squash team opened up play in the College Squash Associations (CSA) Team Championships E bracket with a win over Boston University on Friday morning. The Jumbos received wins in the first through seventh positions to claim the win and advance to the semifinals.

    Sophomore Aditya Advani (New Dehli, India) won his opening round match, but then fell in the round of 16 at the Division III Individual Squash Championships held at Bowdoin College this weekend. Advani was competing with 32 other players in the A draw of the tournament.

  • Men's Squash Ends NESCAC Squash Championship Play with Loss to Hamilton

    The Tufts men’s squash team closed out play in the NESCAC Squash Championships with a loss to host Hamilton, 7-2. The match wrapped up consolation rounds of play for the Jumbos which were held at Colgate University. The men took on Conn. College earlier in the day, but fell, 7-2.
  • Men's Squash Falls to Bowdoin in Opening Round of NESCAC Tournament

    The men’s squash team competed in the first round of the NESCAC Squash Championship on Friday night at the Little Squash Center on the campus of Hamilton College. The Jumbo men lost to #6 seeded Bowdoin, 9-0. They will now participate in the consolation rounds of the tournament.
  • Men's and Women's Squash to Play in NESCAC Tournament at Hamilton This Weekend

    The Tufts men’s and women’s squash teams will be traveling to Hamilton College this weekend to compete in the NESCAC Squash Championships. The tournament will be held at the Little Squash Center at Hamilton, with select consolation matches at Colgate University. Play begins on Friday and will conclude Sunday afternoon.
  • Boston College Edges Men's Squash Wednesday Evening

    The Tufts men’s squash team took on Boston College at the Belmont Hill School Wednesday night and the Jumbos fell to the Eagles, 6-3. Sophomore Aditya Advani (New Dehli, India), and juniors Zach Schweitzer (Huntingdon Valley, PA) and Hugo Meggitt (Princeton, NJ) won for the Jumbos.

    Despite wins in the top two positions, the men’s squash team fell to Conn. College, 7-2, on Saturday in NESCAC squash action. The match with the Camels wrapped up a busy weekend for the team, in which they blanked Vassar on Friday night, but fell to Colby on Saturday.

    The Tufts men’s squash team opened up a busy weekend on a strong note, convincingly beating Vassar, 9-0, on Friday night at Kenyon Hall. The Jumbos swept the Brewer’s and will now travel to New Haven, Conn. to take on NESCAC rivals Conn. College and Colby on Saturday.

    With a win over Haverford on Sunday, the Tufts men’s squash team finished the opening weekend of their 2014 schedule on a winning note. The men defeated the Fords 6-3 on Sunday, after beating Denison but losing to Drexel on Saturday.
  • Men's Squash Finishes Opening Day of Spring Semester Play with Loss at Drexel

    After just over a month long break, The Tufts men’s squash team opened up second semester play on Saturday, but Drexel proved to be too much for the Jumbos as they fell to the Dragons, 9-0. The Jumbos did return two players who were off campus last semester, with junior Zach Schweitzer (Huntingdon Valley, PA) playing in the number two spot and fellow classmate Huge Meggitt (Princeton, NJ) making his junior year debut in the number six position.

    The Tufts men’s squash team opened up the 2014 portion of their schedule with a win over Denison on Saturday. The Jumbos beat the Big Red by a 6-3 score in their first match of the day, followed by a loss to host Drexel.

    Despite winning in the number one and number two positions, the Tufts men’s squash team lost to Bucknell, 7-2 on Saturday. The match was one of three scheduled on the day, as they lost to host Drexel, but topped Denison.

    The Tufts men’s squash team was overcome by Bates, 9-0, Saturday in NESCAC squash action. The match opened up a competitive NESCAC weekend for the Jumbos, as they will also take on Middlebury tomorrow afternoon.

    The men’s squash team fell to Brown University on Saturday by a score of 9-0. The match was the second of three scheduled matches on the day. The Jumbos took Bowdoin earlier in the day and followed the Brown match with a duel with Bryant.

    The Tufts men’s squash team won in three positions, but it wasn’t enough as they fell to Bryant, 6-3, on Saturday. The match was the third of the day for the Jumbos as they started the day playing Bowdoin, then took on Brown, and ended the day with the Bryant match.
