Hattler of Men's Lacrosse Named NESCAC Player of the Week

MEDFORD, Mass. – Senior midfielder Frank Hattler of the No. 3 Tufts University men's lacrosse team was named the New England Small College Athletic Conference Player of the Week, as announced by the league Monday.

The Palo Alto, Calif. native helped the Jumbos to a 2-0 week with tight wins over Trinity (Conn.) and No. 14 SUNY Cortland. He recorded 10 points in the two games with nine goals and one assist. He also picked up four groundballs and caused one turnover.

In the 16-15 double overtime win over Cortland, Hattler scored seven goals and had one assist, including the game-winner with a minute left in the second overtime period. He had two goals in the team's 16-14 win over Trinity.

This is the first NESCAC Player of the Week honor for Hattler in his career and it is also the first earned by a Jumbo this season. The last time a member of head coach Casey D'Annolfo's squad was recognized was last April when Danny Murphy won the award.

For the sason, Hattler has 14 goals and four assists for 18 points.

Tufts is currently 6-0 and 3-0 in conference play with a NESCAC game coming up this Saturday against No. 20 Connecticut College.
