    It’s tournament time! The men’s swimming and diving team will compete in the NESCAC Championships this Friday through Sunday. Men’s and women’s basketball host quarterfinal games of the NESCAC Tournament on Saturday at Cousens Gym. Men’s and women’s indoor track and field will compete in the New England Division III Championships this weekend. The men’s squash team will play in the College Squash Association’s Team Championships Friday through Sunday. Women’s fencing travels to Vassar for the Northeast Fencing Conference Championships on Saturday.

Men’s and women’s basketball close out their regular season schedules this weekend. Men’s hockey plays their last regular season home weekend. Men’s and women’s track will race in the David Hemery Invitational at Boston University on Friday and Saturday. The women’s squash team will compete in the College Squash Associations Team Championships this weekend.

    The Tufts men’s basketball team returned home to Cousen’s Gym on Friday night and opened up a NESCAC weekend with a 70-63 win over visiting Hamilton. Sophomore Tarik Smith led the Jumbos scoring with 16 points off the bench, while the Jumbos bench turned in 43 of the 70 points in the win.

The win is the second in a row for the Jumbos, who opened up their NESCAC bill with a win against Middlebury last weekend.

Women’s basketball will look to keep their winning streak against Amherst alive on Friday, and then take on Trinity on Saturday. Men’s basketball and men’s hockey are both on the road continuing the NESCAC portions of their schedules. Men’s and women’s swimming and diving will host MIT and Wesleyan this weekend. Men’s and women’s indoor track and field will compete in the Tufts Invitational I on Saturday. Both the men’s and women’s squash teams resume their 2014-15 campaigns this week, and the women’s fencing team will be back in action this week as well.

    Last week was the first week back in action for Tufts Athletics with hockey and women’s basketball starting their second semester schedules. This week men’s basketball and women’s indoor track and field join in. Men’s basketball has three home contests this week, including opening their NESCAC portion of the schedule at home against Middlebury on Sunday. Women’s indoor track and field will race at the Dartmouth Relays on Sunday to start a busy January month. Women’s basketball looks to avenge last season’s loss to Babson on Monday and then opens their NESCAC bill on Sunday at Middlebury. Men’s hockey will take on local rival Suffolk on Saturday night.
