Madison Smith entered her first season as the Tufts University Women’s Volleyball assistant coach in the fall of 2017. She came to the Jumbos after graduating from Alma College in 2017 where she was a member of the volleyball team for all four years.
Her senior season at Alma she saw action in 19 matches and was third on the team in kills with 136 and kills per set with 2.03. She led the team and was ninth in the conference in hit percentage with 24.2%. She was second on the team in blocks with 52 and tallied a total of 26 digs. She made the MIAA Academic Honor Roll in both her junior and seniors seasons.
Before college Smith attended Pewamo-Westphalia High School in Michigan where she was the Unanimous League Player of the Year and All-Conference first team after her junior and senior seasons. As a senior she made the All-State first team. Smith played club at the Michigan Elite Volleyball Academy.
