Women's Squash Junior Risa Meyers Selected Harrow Sports Player of the Week

MEDFORD - For the week ending on Sunday (Dec. 4), Tufts junior Risa Meyers (New York, NY) has been selected as the Women's Harrow Sports College Squash Player of the Week.

As Harrow Sports College Squash Player of the Week, Meyers had a significant impact on her team's performance during the prior week and demonstrated sportsmanship. She collected victories over Smith, William Smith, and Colby at the Wesleyan Round Robin over the weekend. The 21st-ranked Jumbos faced stiff competition from 23rd-ranked Colby. Meyer, the #7 player, clinched her team's 5-4 win. She defeated Coco Cowan in four games  (12-10, 11-8, 8-11, and 13-11).

Meyers won the honor against several qualified nominees. Mount Holyoke's Shaheen Madraswala went 4-0 on the weekend, including a victory against Brown. Penn's Courtney Jones helped lead the Quakers to a 6-3 victory over 3rd-ranked Princeton. Trinity's Lindsay McDonough went 2-0 on the weekend with victories over Conn and George Washington.
