SOMERVILLE - The Tufts University Women's Soccer team finished with their third tie in double overtime 1-1 against No. 9 Brandeis on Saturday afternoon at Kraft Field.

The Jumbos recorded their second straight double OT tie in two consecutive games to put them at 3-0-3 overall, 2-0-1 NESCAC record. Brandeis received their first tie of the season to stay undefeated at 8-0-1.
The Judges took a 1-0 early lead in the 11th minute with a goal by Jessica Morana. Tufts sophomore goalie Emily Bowers saved two shots before bobbling the ball to let Morana shoot it into the goal.
Tufts netted the equalizer on a goal by senior Jess Capone. She got a rebound in front of the goal from Brooke Fortin's shot, and with Brandeis goalie Alex Grossman on the ground Capone put it in the bottom right corner of the goal to tie the game up at 1-1 in the 55th minute.
Bowers saved 10 shots in today's match while Grossman saved two for the Judges.
In the first half, Brandeis outshot the Jumbos 12-2.
The Jumbos return home to play MIT for the last game in September on Tuesday at 4 p.m. Brandeis travels to play Wellesley on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
