Academic All-NESCAC Selections for 2012 Spring Sports Include 101 Jumbo Student-Athletes
One hundred and one spring sport athletes at Tufts were awarded Academic All-New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) honors on Thursday. Recipients have achieved at least sophomore academic standing with a grade point average of 3.35 or better and are letter-winners on their teams.

Middlebury advanced to the NESCAC Women's Lacrosse Championship semi-finals with a 12-8 win over Tufts on Kohn Field Saturday. The third-seeded Panthers (11-3) advance to next weekend's championship tournament at Trinity, where they will battle fourth-seeded Amherst. Sixth-seeded Tufts falls to 9-6 on the season.

Junior Kerry Eaton (Norfolk, MA) scored five goals and senior Kelly Hyland (Acton, MA) netted four as the 12th-ranked Tufts women's lacrosse team won 17-12 over Williams College on Saturday afternoon at Bello Field. The victory stopped a three-game losing streak in NESCAC play for the Jumbos.

Junior Megan Leonhard (Summit, NJ) led the #5 Bantams with four goals.

The seventh-ranked Middlebury women's lacrosse team finished an impressive weekend with a 16-5 victory at #10 Tufts in a NESCAC game on Sunday afternoon at Bello Field. Senior tri-captain Elizabeth Garry (Mamaroneck, NY) scored five goals and senior tri-captain Lily Nguyen (Oakland, CA) backed a strong defensive effort with six saves.

#6 Colby Women's Lacrosse Denies #10 Jumbos' Comeback for 11-10 NESCAC Win in Florida
After Colby built a 9-3 halftime lead, and then Tufts came all the way back to tie the score at 10-10 in the second half, Colby's Katharine Eddy scored with 4:31 remaining to give the Mules an 11-10 victory over the Jumbos in a NESCAC women's lacrosse game played at the National Training Center in Florida on Friday morning.

The #11 ranked Tufts University women's lacrosse team got four goals from junior Kerry Eaton (Norfolk, MA) and three goals and two assists from senior Kelly Hyland (Acton, MA) to help push them past Babson College, 18-6, in non-conference action this afternoon at MacDowell Field. The Jumbos got goals from 10 different scorers and used an eight-goal run late in the first half to pull away from the Beavers.
