Jumbo Hockey Goalie Scott Barchard Selected as a New England Division II/III All-Star
Senior goaltender Scott Barchard (Reading, MA) capped his career with the Tufts University hockey team by earning a spot on the 2012 New England Hockey Writers (NEHW) All-Star team announced on Tuesday.

Academic All-NESCAC Selections for 2011-12 Winter Sports Include 91 Jumbo Student-Athletes
Ninety-one winter sport athletes at Tufts were awarded Academic All-New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) honors on Wednesday. Recipients have achieved at least sophomore academic standing with a grade point average of 3.35 or better and are letter-winners on their teams.

Jumbos Gallegos, Barchard and Coach Murphy Selected for 2012 NESCAC Hockey Honors
After the Tufts hockey team's most successful season of the NESCAC era (2001-12), three Jumbos were honored when the 2012 All-Conference Teams were released today. Sophomore forward Kyle Gallegos (Westminster, CO) and senior goalie Scott Barchard (Reading, MA) were voted to the All-Conference second team, while Brian Murphy was named NESCAC Coach of the Year.

Fan Bus Headed to Tufts Hockey's NESCAC Quarterfinal Game on Saturday Afternoon
The Tufts University Athletics Department is sponsoring a fan bus to the Jumbo hockey game against Williams College on Saturday afternoon at Valley Forum II in Malden. The bus will leave from the Campus Center at 3:30 pm and return immediately after the game. Availability is first come, first serve.

For the first time in the 12 seasons that they have been a member of the NESCAC hockey league, Tufts will host a conference tournament game on Saturday (Feb. 25) when the Jumbos welcome Williams College to Valley Forum II for a quarterfinal. Game time is 4:35 pm.

On September 18, Tufts University hockey players and coaches walked three miles as part of the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk, which allows participants to follow the course of the 26.2-mile Boston Marathon to honor friends, family, co-workers, and patients facing all forms of cancer.
