TUFTS MEN'S CREW COMPETES IN FOUR RACES AT NEW ENGLAND CHAMPIONSHPS IN WORCESTER

MEDFORD - The Tufts University men's crew team had four boats racing at the 2011 New England Rowing Championshps held on Saturday at Lake Quinsigamond.

The Jumbo varsity four completed the 2,000 meter course in 6:56.992 to win the petite final and place eighth out of 15 teams overall. The Tufts boat featuted junior coxsain Matt Goldenberg (New York, NY), sophomore stroke Kyle Flood (Southborough, MA), senior 3-seat Alex Ross (Weston, MA) senior 2-seat Ryan Flood (Southborough, MA) and junior bow Chris Park.

Other Tufts results were the novice eight placing sixth out of 10, the novice four finishging 11th out of 12 and the second varsity four rowing sixth out of seven.

The Jumbos will be bake in Worcester next Sunday for the ECAC National Invitational Championships on Lake Quinsigamond.
