MEDFORD - Senior Taylor Dyer (Windham, NH) of the Tufts field
hockey team is an All-American for the second straight season. The
2011 Longstreth/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA)
Division III All-American Teams were released today.
Dyer capped her stand-out career as a Jumbo with the All-American accolade. She was All-New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) First Team pick for three straight seasons and a three-time NFHCA All-Region selection. With Dyer as a defensive leader, the Jumbos ranked 10th in the nation with their 0.95 goals against average this fall. With six shutouts in 15 games, they tied for 14th nationally with a 0.4 shutouts per game average.
Dyer also took on more of an offensive role this season. She finished the fall with six goals and three assists for 15 points, and was a perfect three-for-three on penalty strokes.
