Tufts University Hosts Women's Student-Athlete and Alumnae Networking Event

MEDFORD - The Tufts Athletics Alumni Group, Tufts Athletics and the Career Center teamed up to host the Tufts University Women's Student-Athlete and Alumnae Networking Event on Friday (Oct. 6) from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Breed Memorial Hall, 51 Winthrop Street, on campus.

The event, part of Homecoming Weekend festivities at Tufts, was held in conjection with alumna Wendy Selig-Prieb's visit to campus to accept the 2017 Distinguished Achievement Award that night.

This event was open to students from all class years. The program started with a panel discussion from noon to 12:45 p.m. Four accomplished Jumbos shared their career journey, gave advice and provided attendees with inspiration and guidance.

Panelists included Mrs. Selig-Prieb '82, President and Director of Worth LTD and Former President and Chairwoman of the Milwaukee Brewers; Catherine Beldotti Donlan '90, Vice President and General Manager of North America at Converse Inc.; Jennifer Foxson '91, Senior Vice President of Corporate Governance and Board Relations at OppenheimerFunds, Inc.; and Jen O’Malley Dillon '98, Founding Partner of Precision Strategies. Heather Sibbison '83, Chair of Native American Law & Policy at Dentons, moderated the panel. Catherine Beldotti Donlan was a member of the lacrosse team at Tufts, Jennifer Foxson played basketball and Jen O'Malley Dillon was on the softball team.

From 12:45 p.m. to 2 p.m. the group broke down into smaller clusters for a networking reception. In addition to the panelists, over 20 alumnae from a variety of industries and sectors were on hand for informal networking. Alumnae were grouped by industry, and a handout of all those participating was provided.
